Crime And Justice America Has Gone Downhill Essay

Jonathan S. Gurrola Mrs. Tibbett Civics 25 August 2016 Crime and Justice Throughout the years, America has gone downhill. The United States of America has faced many hindrances, and it was a struggle to face these problems. A problem that America faces is the political view on crime and justice. America can’t seem to fix this issue, and the Republican party will fix this. â€Å"Justice consists not in being neutral between right and wrong, but in finding out the right and upholding it, wherever found, against the wrong† (Theodore Roosevelt). Contrary to what most believe, preventing crime isn’t a form of racism or hate, but rather protecting all the citizens in the United States of America. Whether there are homicides, riots, or any other cases of destruction, America has faced problems that we need to solve. A problem that America faces is the Black Lives Matter movement. Does this movement include violence and havoc? Absolutely! Black people who assume that their lives matter instead of anyone else’s are entitled. Not a ll African Americans are entitled, and there are black people who know that this movement is wrong. Derryck Green, a member of the national advisory council for the National Center is qualified to speak on this subject. He agrees that black lives matter like everyone else, but he thinks it is pathetic how many African Americans turn a peaceful protest to a violent one. This movement is misguided by many citizens in this country.
